In an article by Kevin Periano published in Newsweek, titled "Where Murder Is Easy" he wrote: "The murders had been an honor killing, he explained; he says he was later told that the victims were orphans and had been working as prostitutes. A devout Muslim, Abu Moghaseb said that he has mixed feelings about the practice of honor killing and seemed to be working through his rationale while we talked."
.
In another article the number of victims appears to be higher and mentions: "They said the deaths of the sisters brought to 12 the number of women killed in similar ways in 2007, in addition to 30 others who died in internal factional bloodshed and violence between clans, or extended families."

This is very strange considering that both Shite and Sunni scholars have condemned the practice as we can see here and in the reply from Islam Online's Fatwa Editing Desk. Furthermore in an article by Mohja Kahf, in the Washington Post, titled "As American As You Are", she writes: "Honor killing, as a recent fatwa by al-Azhar University's mufti reminds believers, is a pagan rite violating Islamic principles. "
.
Could someone point out to these murdering $#@&*^ that since there is an apparent consensus of scholars, that the practics is NOT ISLAMIC!!!
